Teenage Daughter

Happy Wednesday!
Looking for ideas to help motivate my daughter with her school work.  Her grades are "OK" but could be better.  Girls at this age, 13, are very social.  It's all about friends.  She will be entering high school next year and I am looking for ways to get her motivated to do better and to make that transition easier, if that is even possible??

  1. You're very industrious and this seems like a worthwhile venture. While my 2 daughters are now older--31 and almost 29(next month),they have children of their own.One daughter has twins who just turned 12.One of these is her oldest daughter and my oldest grandchild. Her twin is
her only brother.I believe my daughter is about to see what we lived through and it will also be a study in the difference in genders. My daughter also has a 10 year old daughter who acts much older probably due to what she sees and hears from her older siblings. These children
are good students but I can already see that studies are becoming more difficult for the older kids since they started in middle school. We'll see how it goes! I can only say that my daughters, their father and I all survived their teen years, though,it was the most difficult time in my life. Our girls both graduated from college and became productive members of society. What we did right or wrong,I really can't say.Parenting is an ongoing process--even today when they are grown. I still say and do "wrong things"---just ask my kids.At this point,I cannot mention any particulars on raising them, except to add lots of love to what you do and you probably do that already. As more people contribute,I'm sure it will jog my memory. This seems like a fun way to gather information and can be used with the grandkids as well.Anyway, thanks for allowing me to contribute.
