Technology!

Happy Friday Everyone!
I am looking for feedback on technology and how you control it in your family/life.  I know it's so easy to get caught up in the latest gadgets, especially our children.  There are pros's and con's to technology.  How has it impacted your life?  Do you set time limits for your children to play video games/computer time?  Do you set place limits?  Do your children do their schoolwork and chores before socializing and games?  Seems like I am always saying "no texting at the dinner table!" If you take away my daughter's cell phone, oh the drama!  Her and that phone are one.  So I am just wondering how all of the other parents handle the technology in the home.  I can't help to think that we shouldn't forget what life was like before all of these gadgets came into our world, where we actually came from.

Teenage Daughter

Looking for ideas to help motivate my daughter with her school work.  Her grades are "OK" but could be better.  Girls at this age, 13, are very social.  It's all about friends.  She will be entering high school next year and I am looking for ways to get her motivated to do better and to make that transition easier, if that is even possible??

Cleaning....

I spend a lot of time cleaning!  Any suggestions and tips for getting it all done?  I've been thinking about starting the switch over to all natural cleaners, not sure how I will like it though.  How many use all natural cleaners?  Are you just as happy with the results if you use all natural cleaners? 

Pet Peeve...

What is your biggest pet peeve?  Mine is when my husband takes off his dirty clothes and he throws them down on the closet floor NEXT to the hamper?  Ideas for making this bad habit go away???

Years ago a friend of mine told me that her goal was to get her two children, girl and boy, through school without any pregnancy's or drug problems.  Now as a Mom of two teenagers I can fully understand that comment, what do you think?
